EMM. G. Lianakis S.A. was established in 1990 by a team of distinguished engineers, led by Emmanuel Lianakis, as an evolution of his personal practice, which had been in operation since 1985. Originally formed as a Limited Liability Company (LLC), the firm transitioned in 2005 to its current legal structure as a corporation (S.A.). The company’s headquarters is located in Athens.
The company’s primary purpose is to conduct studies for the Public Sector, Public Legal Entities, Local Authorities, State-Owned Enterprises, Intergovernmental Organisations and private clients.
Initially, the company was active in the field of topographic and urban planning and land-use studies, but soon expanded its activities to other technical areas such as road construction, hydraulic, structural and environmental studies. Five years ago, it further diversified by establishing an architectural department and a strategic planning division, specializing in strategic foresight and applied futures research.
With more than two decades of experience in the field, the company guarantees the flawless execution of assigned studies within the shortest possible timeframe. For more than 20 years, it has been a pioneer, investing in cutting-edge technologies. Notably:
- It was one of the first private sector companies to invest in the use of emerging technologies and develop design software before AutoCAD became widely available.
- It was the first to create an integrated cadastral system for local governments, including the Municipality of Ilion (1990-1995) and the Municipality of Metamorphosis (1994)
- It was the only contractor of “NATIONAL LAND REGISTRY S.A.” which completed 90% of the study of the National Cadastre in the contracted area, creating 33 new jobs in the city of Serres. At the same time, it adopted a pioneering citizen service program that had as its objectives the best possible quality of the work produced and the least possible inconvenience for citizens on the other. (It is worth mentioning that it had the lowest rate of objections, compared to other regions where National Cadastre studies were carried out).
